We celebrated my mother’s 90th birthday lunch here yesterday and everything was exceptional. My brother, in Australia, organised the event via emails with Amanda and we all turned up and had a wonderful day. The food was delicious and the portions huge, we had our own room which was great and the staff - mainly Amanda and Kate - couldn’t have done more us. Three of us stayed upstairs overnight and the rooms were very comfortable and welcoming. Thank you so very much for a very memorable day. Mum loved it.

Really disappointing! Went for my birthday and the Sunday lunch was awful! Beef was chewy, roasts and parsnips dry like they’d been warmed up from the day before. My daughter had a pudding that came with her child’s meal and they sent that out with the candle in it for my birthday instead of the usual where pubs bring a small piece out for the birthday girl as well as the other puddings. Needless to say we will not be returning.

Very friendly staff, lovely rooms & excellent food and wine! Our room was quiet, with a large comfortable bed, seating area and nice little touches. Would highly recommend eating here too! Also very dog friendly.

Visited here today for a Sunday Roast and it was one of the most amazing roasts I’ve had in a long time. Prawn cocktail as a starter was delicious and the roast was absolutely huge and delicious! Gutted I couldn’t eat it all or fit in dessert! Maybe next time! Service was really good too.

Amazing little pub in a beautiful village. Staff were very friendly and very professional. The inside of the pub is absolutely beautiful and the food was exquisite and the portions we're generous. 100% recommend and I will definitely be back.
