We accidentally drove up to this property as the address for our bnb took us there. When we got there and got out to look around at the cottage names to see if one was ours an EXTREMELY rude woman came out and said that it wasn’t the right place and continued to yell at us to “remove ourselves from her property” even though it was also a public footpath. I thought she was coming out to maybe help us find our correct accommodation but that was not the case! I’m so so glad we are not staying here and would caution anyone else (especially after reading through the other reviews) to give your money to someone like this. Crazy experience! Everyone else in the town has been lovely though :)

Very unwelcoming hosts. The cottages and surrounding areas were beautiful - unfortunately the customer service we received from the hosts completely overshadowed this. The host was incompetent throughout regarding payment for the cottages. Following this - the first night our party stayed at the cottages - we were interrupted by a text from the hosts advising us to put the hot tub cover back on - we had only stepped out of the hot tub for 5 minutes at this point to eat dinner. Understandably, this made us feel very uncomfortable and like we were being watched throughout our stay. The interior of the cottage was nice however there were a lot of cobwebs, a hole in the wall in one room and the beds were uncomfortable. On the last day at the property, the lead of our party (who was getting married over the course of our stay) was rudely informed that checkout was in half an hour - despite one of the cottages being booked for an extra night. The host disputed this, again very rudely, to the point we chose to checkout a day early and request a refund. This resulted in the host being disgustingly rude to the point of shouting about a wedding party they hosted the previous week who apparently destroyed the place. Not sure what that had to do with our party, but the way they shouted at the member of our party resulted in a 5 year old child crying, which the host suggested they shouldn’t have brought their child over to talk with them - absolutely disgusting customer service. The owners need some lessons in customer etiquette. It’s a shame the owners turned this stay in to such a negative experience as the cottages and gardens were wonderful in a truly beautiful location however there are other beautiful locations that would offer customer service worth paying for!

We were due to stay here and having booked several weeks in advance, emailing the hosts and receiving a response, I was then called 10 days prior to our booking to be told that she didn’t understand how I had managed to make the booking and that the cottage was already booked out. She was rude and abrupt on the phone, didn’t accept any responsibility for not having contacted me sooner, blamed booking.com and seemed to also be blaming me! I strongly suspect that as we were only due to stay for a couple of nights, that she decided to cancel our booking when someone else wanted to stay longer. Having read some of the reviews about the hosts on here I’m glad not to be staying, though now don’t have a break and due to the short notice am unlikely to find anything else for the same dates. Wouldn’t recommend!

Had a fantastic break away with my friends and partner. I will definitely return if you’ll have us with my family as we were just completely blown away with the view and time we had there. The lovely gentleman who greeted us made us feel like right at home and this allowed us to truly enjoy ourselves. Thank you again for an amazing holiday and memories we will treasure.
