Decided to walk the seemingly short walk to Bank Top Kilns from The Howard site we were staying at. Worth it but very very steep route to follow and the view was spectacular. Enjoyed a pint at the White Horse Farm inn on my decent too.
A lot of history in this area, the walk around the valley is easy enough with historical stops as you walk round. However if you go in the clockwise direction you will finish with a steep walk up chimney bank which is very very steep!
Amazing landscape to explore, with a free car park. I walked up the (very steep) hill, but once you're up it has a level pathway so friendly for anything on wheels. Lots of bits and pieces around that hint at what it was like, but very much given over to nature now. Nearby is the Ana Cross, also accessible by a generally level pathway. Nice views from there too.
Great views of the surrounding countryside. Plenty of walks available. 2 seperate parking places just off the road. Ana's Cross is nearby too. Maps give you locations and direction
