A lovely cosy cottage, perfect for a couple's get-away with your furry friend. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need should you choose to cook. Gorgeous bedroom with a very comfortable bed and lovely bathroom with red hot shower, however the stairs are very steep so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Cosy lounge area with electric wood burner which really makes all the difference. Liked the extra touch of the dog box of toys which Lola loved 🥰 We had a lovely weekend with a few walks despite the rainy weather. We enjoyed a few drinks in the local pub, The Coach House Inn, a 3 minute walk away, followed by cosy nights back at the cottage. A lovely stay and we will definitely return. My only recommendation would be better lighting around the back and a privacy blind/curtain on the back door. Thanks for a great stay x
A sweet little cottage in the most beautiful tiny village. The only things that ruined it for us though was a) The cottage had had a makeover and wasn't at all like the photos we'd seen when we booked it. It was very dark, whereas the photos on the site were very light and fresh. b) I found some things hadn't been cleaned, like the dirty, greasy grill pan that I had to scrub before I could use it. The cups and plates also felt sticky and had to be cleaned before use. c) The biggest thing for us was that there was no key in the safe box! Thankfully the door had been left unlocked and we had to create our own 'security' method with a bar stool and some pieces of kindling!!! This also meant that we couldn't leave our belongings in the cottage and had to take them with us wherever we went! I only discovered by chance, as we were departing, that there is a spare key at the delightful Abbey Stores across the road. Nobody from the agency told us this, and in fact I found them to be extremely unhelpful. They are called Host and Stay. I wouldn't recommend. One other thing that was not made clear at the time of booking was the additional insurance that you have to pay in order to recieve arrival instructions!!! You HAVE to either pay £25 non-refundable, or £250 with a refund of £240 after your stay, providing there is no damage to the property or it's contents.
A beautiful and spacious cottage in the tranquil gem of a village that is Rosedale. Lovely garden to rear for warm summer evenings. Cosy sofas and comfy beds, very well equipped kitchen with American freezer and aga. Good welcome pack with every amenity. Only one bathroom but has a separate shower and bath. Everything finished to a great standard. Helpful and friendly hosts. Would gladly return.
Was a lovely stay at this cottage , but we had to empty the shower plug hole as the bathroom was filling with water all over the floor. 🙈🙈🤬🤬 They could do with a FULL length mirror as the one upstairs is not good for short people to see themselves dressed etc . But apart from that we did enjoy our stay and the lical shops and cafe are great too x
Being our 1st cottage holiday we didn't know what to expect and wow this cottage exceeded expectations. Its warm and cosy fully equipped even has a washer dryer in cupboard in bathroom.! Brilliant location for exploring the walks and trails from the doorstep. Both tea rooms are fantastic the coach house pub is warm and friendly dogs are welcome there. We have had the best time here a whole week of bliss. Kathy Phil and Mica (the cockerpoo)
