Wonderful church. Recently held a wedding and a christening here. We were made to feel very welcome and Rev Diane goes above and beyond. We are lucky as a community to have her. Thanks St Thomas's. X

My name is Jessie and my dad was the caretaker here in the 70s. He looked after this church yard all the time cleaning every path clean graves looking after everything. The top gate is closed shut now but it was not when I was younger. I lived at 13 peter Street then it belonged to the church it does not anymore and yes the house and the church yard is haunted. My dad is buried here in 1983 June 26th his name was Arthur Victor plows my dad the best dad in the world in my eyes I miss him very much so much. I would love to come back and see his grave but I would not leave there if you know what mean. My ex lives in Rotherham he used me as a punch bag I went through demestic abuse with that thing and moved away I now live in Devon far away from that beast of an ex. And I still suffer from it today what I call a inner war he toke everything away from me what made me strong and no I did not have kids with him thank goodness. This churchyard holds special memories for me when I use to follow dad round it watched him dig graves he was also a grave digger too. I love Saint Thomas church which I hold dearly close to my heart. A very merry Christmas you and a prospective new year.

Pity the old grave yard isn't locked after better. The people buried there deserve more, they served the church and town well when they lived. Church authorities could do better.

The church is beautiful well kept and tidy but the church yard leaves a lot to the imagination, neglected is mild really, such a shame considering
