Recently got back into the hobby and all the staff are so welcoming and friendly, its like hanging out with your friends rather than a cold, sales based type of shop. Neither Ben or Lee are pushy and are always happy to help, my best friend now owns every dragonite in existence thanks to them finding the cards for her haha! The store is a welcome escape from the reality of adulthood and life. The arcade is a nice addition that brings a seaside feel to a town centre and the staff in the cafe are absolutely lovely and make the absolute BEST hot drinks!! It is a fantastic place that is worth a visit regardless of age, and has been a great way to gain further education and understanding on a hobby I have enjoyed since being a kid. :)
The day i went, it was full. familys in the cafe very lively, kids ripping packs coming up to the counter asking "how much is this" its fun. the stock is all pretty good. you have the cheaper cards and then the pricier ones, a full wall display of both. binders of specific stuff you might be after, art rares, trainers etc, the staff were all pretty friendly which is what you would want in any place like that. overall i would love to go again soon as i got some good pickups for a decent price would recommend. -Rhys
Visited here recently and was very impressed - the overall prices of both the shop and the cafe were decent, there is so many options of graded cards and singles. Lots of plushies and TCG accessories such as binders etc. There are unfortunately 2 things I was slightly disappointed with, one was the lack of sealed boosters etc. There was lots of Korean booster packs, but not really much else. That being said it wouldn't put me off coming again as I'm sure they may have just been due a restock. And the 2nd one is the £5 vending machine - you put in a £5 note and you get a prize which is worth minimum of £3.50 - £40. I tried it the first time and I got a candy bundle and a jigglypuff eraser (worth £1 max) so I thought surely it can't be that bad a 2nd time so tried it again and it was actually worse lol, I got another candy bundle and a Disney Stitch eraser, not even pokemon lol. I did however like the £1 trading card vending machine and got a decent SWSH holo, I just wish I'd spent £10 on that machine instead aha My conclusion - If I am ever back in the area I will definitely be visiting again, the atmosphere is lovely, the cafe decor amazing, there's an arcade next to it too. Lots of cards, and hopefully next time I'll catch a restock and there will be more sealed English and Japanese cards. The only thing i'd do differently is not use the £5 machine lol!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ PokiLee's PokiWorld Today we finally made the trip to Pokilees Pokiworld in Rotherham, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! Pokilees specialises in all things Pokémon, and from the moment we walked in, it felt like stepping into a little slice of Poké-paradise. On the left, there’s a well organised wall of singles cards , great for collectors and dotted throughout the shop are plushes, hats, keychains, T-shirts, and loads more merch for every kind of Pokémon fan. To the right is a lovely little café serving coffee, cake, pizza, and more, but we’ll get to that shortly! The staff were all really friendly, and the owner was incredibly welcoming and chatty, making us feel right at home. There are card binders you can look through (these are kept behind the till), and Marie and Jaz had a great time hunting through them While they browsed, I took a seat in the café and ordered a coffee. When it arrived, it had a Pikachu in chocolate sprinkles on the foam, a seriously cute touch that made me not want to drink it… but I did, and it was banging We left with some much needed cards for our sets, and we also picked up a mystery graded pack (see photos!). On the way out, we couldn’t resist having a go at the Pokémon machine, only 50p a go We’ve always wanted to visit Pokilees but never had the chance until today, and we’re so glad we did . If you’re a Pokémon fan, we highly recommend checking it out. Much love, Danny, Marie, & Jaz
What a lovely shop for of great staff cool novelty and a real conversation. Fair deals and offers and felt really welcome Popped in on a whim enroute back from a wedding on our way home back to Scotland. Really fair pricing. Some discounts given had a blast on the claw machines and arcade and the cafe is cute We don't have anything Like this north of the border! (Probably a good thing for my wallet) Card selection was EXCELLENT and picked up a ton of vintage and modern cards
