Canklow Road Surgery

I had a medical condition that a nurse said to triage to see a doctor. The triage team have refused to book an appointment. I have now gone through my private medical care (Medicash) who have seen me virtually and advised further investigation on an urgent basis. Every time I try and get a repeat prescription they say no and to buy over the counter... You cannot get it over the counter and I have to argue every time and then get my prescription.

Receptionist needs to replace asap. This morning I tried to book appointment after I have ten days diarrhoea and two more health issue. First of all she played the usual game "I cannot here you" and every time when I repeated my sentence, a big silent. When asked her 'can you hear me?' she rudely told me 'not need to repeat everything for me!' Her advise was for my diarrhoea to contact with pharmacy to take relief tablets. She quite frankly, didn't listen me, because I started my sentence: ten days I have taken diarrhoea relief tablets and no relief and of course, no appointment available up to end of the month! I just spoke with Gate Surgery receptionist, she was very nice and helpful, advising me and sympathy for my problems. Canklow Surgery not first time has unprofessional and rude receptionist!!!

If I could leave less than one star. I certainly would . I have been with this doctors for around a year now. And I changing because of the lack of empathy and help I have always received . However this morning has topped it off completely . I was trying to get a phone call app for my daughter who is 10 months old. I have meetings 8-10.30am so I’m unable to make calls . I call just after 10.30am to explain her symptoms and I get a very rude “ phone at 8 tomorrow”. Well being a baby she cannot really wait 24 hours . I explain how useless getting appointments are at this doctors . To which the receptionist ( who refuses to give her name ) puts the phone down on me . Absolutely appalling behaviour . In this current climate a cough from a baby should be taken seriously. I will be making a formal complaint !

The receptionist is so rude. Has zero empathy for people. You could literally be dying and all she says “call at 8 tomorrow” Disgusting how someone doesn’t take such job seriously. Once I tried calling for an appointment and she picked up at 5 past 8 and then said “call at 8 tomorrow” You be on my death bed before you get an appointment over there.

I am fed up of trying to make an appointment. If you ring there is no one answering the phone. Even when you wait in the queue on the phone by the time it is your turn the phone is still not answered. I have tried going into the surgery but then the computer is not updated. I keep getting texts to say I need an appointment but can't get one. No wonder A and E are run off their feet
