Terrible service. AVOID. Booked a room and was unable to access the safe for the key. No response to messages or calls. Had to cancel the booking and rush to another hotel at midnight at an exorbitant cost. Very unprofessional and nonchalant management.
Booked a room 2 years ago had trouble ourself to get a key witch was in a key safe code did not work book a room for my brother night afyer same again just finished work at 10pm couldn’t get in his room found set of keys on the side of reception let our self in his Room went to get food the owner rang me calling me a slag an to get out of her hotel told her do one as we have payed an she didn’t answer to our earlier calls about not being able to access the room got back she sent 3 men round to attack us bottling me in the head DONT STAY HERE ITS DANGEROUS!!!
PLEASE do not even consider this 'hotel'. We were there this weekend on a business trip as we were working a big event nearby. It was booked because of it's closeness to the venue and what seemed like reasonable pricing. On arrival the place in unmanned, there are key safes for you to access your room keys, which is not an issue except the key return box on the front door is broken so the keys can't be securely returned on departure. Speaking of departure, we left within a couple of hours and did not stay in the room. It was disgusting, stained and dirty voile panels hung from the windows which looked out onto what looked like a warzone! The room on initial entry reeked of stale smoke and the TV switched on but didn't work, there were 2 separate remotes for it and neither worked, a minor issue I agree, but after a long day working we just wanted to relax. I decided to take a shower and try and settle down. The bathroom looked nice enough when I first turned the light on but then i noticed the towel rail hanging on one screw swinging about and then I looked at the shower head which was barely held on by two cable ties. That should've alerted me to what I was in store for... I turned it on (it's one of those overhead with a mixer tap type set ups) and the plunger took some work to switch from tap to shower, but when it did the shower head starting swinging about and spraying water all over the bathroom, there was no shower screen or curtain in place to prevent this so the the entire bathroom and a fully clothed me ended up soaking wet. I secured it further by tightening the cable ties but the shower head was so clogged up that it was it spraying out at all angles anyway. I decided to abandon the idea of having a shower and when I tried to turn the tap off it literally snapped off in my hand and when I looked it was so rotten and corroded inside there was naw to re-attach it. this meant the bath tap was just pouring water constantly with no way of stopping it. I reported it to the owner via the booking app but had no reply. We decided it was no appropriate to stay there and opted to drive the hour and a bit back home which cost us time and money. And now this morning I've had a message saying they want to bill me £150 for damages and 'not following' policy... I've still NOT had a reply from the owner regarding the state of the place or the broken faciities! AVOID!!!!
Great little hotel for a budget Easy check in and out Would recommend if need an affordable room
Please stay away. Absolute dump. My room (13) was a nice size but was absolutely freezing cold. Heating doesn't work, no staff on site to complain to. 1small electric heater, which I left on all night but still woke to a cold room. Bath is only about 1m in length so no chance of a soak. Shower had very low pressure, but at least the water was warm. Staircase to room is soon steep it's a death trap.
