Courtyard by Marriott Sheffield

I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel in December soon after it opened on a solo business trip and felt compelled to leave some positive feedback. I found the hotel to be warm, welcoming and professionally run. I was particularly impressed by the modern bar adorned with art showcasing local sights and the restaurant area which incorporates both open plan sections and more private areas, suitable for all tastes. The rooms are very impressive compared to other hotels I have frequented, modern, spacious and stylish. Real thought has been taken, it is clear to see, with nice touches throughout, plenty of hanging space, plug sockets and other key essentials so often overlooked when staying away. I dined in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast and found the locally sourced menu to be a highlight, catering for all tastes. The portion sizes were generous and the food arrived in a timely manner, piping hot. The service was excellent even though the hotel had recently opened so you could expect some teething problems. The staff who served me were courteous and professional and nothing seemed too much trouble. The breakfast was hot and fresh and the service continued from the evening before. As a business traveller I was pleased to note the spacious, free car park within the hotel grounds and that the WIFI was strong enough to connect to Teams calls. I look forward to further stays next time I am in the area. This is genuinely a brilliant hotel suited to both business and leisure stays and a real gem for the local area.

My stay at Courtyard was absolutely wonderful. I had a lovely experience — all the staff were very welcoming and attentive, which really added to the overall atmosphere. The rooms are modern, stylish, and thoughtfully designed with high-quality interiors that make you feel comfortable and relaxed right away. The food was excellent; the Sunday roast was delicious — I had the brisket beef and my partner had the pork. We would definitely recommend it. The bar also truly stands out, with a superb variety of drinks to choose from. The Honey Paloma quickly became my favourite cocktail and is a must-try! Overall, the experience was excellent from start to finish, and I will definitely be returning.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Me and my family had a Sunday lunch and we all enjoyed our starters, mains and dessert. The atmosphere was very cosy, relaxing just perfect for lovely Sunday lunch. The staff was friendly, attentive and very professional. I highly recommend Aspen restaurant and bar for everyone who is looking for a great dining experience and high quality, wide selection of drinks !

Stayed here a few weeks ago. The hotel is beautiful, The rooms are very modern and also the beds are so comfy. The bathroom has a huge walk in shower . The restaurant food was amazing we had dinner which was absolutely beautiful. Great choice for breakfast so much choice. The staff at this hotel are outstanding....I will be back very soon.. I had a fabulous stay. Staff are very friendly. The room was spacious compared to other hotels I have stayed. The bed was comfortable and I had a very good night sleep. The restaurant is modern style. The food was excellent. For a person who does not eat red meat. I was pleasantly surprised to be able to get a chicken wellington. This dish was amazing. Thumbs up to the chef. I don't think it matters if its Rotherham or Sheffield. I am just pleased to have a hotel of this quality where I'm able to stay.
