⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five-Star Review, Our Wedding 25/11/25 Hand on heart, The Fitzwilliam Arms Hotel is an incredible place, and everyone there played a part in making our wedding truly unforgettable. Vanessa, you were kind, respectful and genuinely lovely with me and Kerry from the moment we met you. You made us feel welcome and never once made us feel awkward about our unusual ideas or our colour theme. Thank you for being so patient and open with us, and we wish you all the very best in your new career. Emma, honestly, where do I even start? You were always smiling, always calm, and always one step ahead. I know there must have been stressful moments behind the scenes, but you never showed it. You kept everything running smoothly and made sure everyone knew exactly what was happening. You and your team were faultless. Our theme, the set-up, and the way you supported our family left everyone amazed. Your staff are warm, friendly, and a credit to you. If I could give every single one of you a 10-star rating, I’d do it without hesitation. Thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts, for giving us a wedding day we will never forget.

Absolutely shocking. At about 3am they kicked my sister out after an argument with the bloke who paid for the room, just because her name wasn’t on it. Didn’t matter that she had no money, no lift, nowhere safe to go — they still booted her out onto the street. No welfare check. No safeguarding. No offer of help. Just “not our problem” attitude. That’s a woman being put at risk in middle of night and staff couldn’t care less. If this is how they deal with situations like this, I’d seriously think twice before staying here. Basic decency costs nowt. Clearly too much to ask.

We had our wedding here. At first a woman called mel was organising, reasurring us that everything is finalised but as soon as the new wedding coordinator came on called Vanessa we felt like it was unorganised. There was obviously no communication between mel and venessa as venessa had no idea what we agreed and venessa obviously never checked the website as venessa had no idea what was advertised. As for the day Ceremony was best part of it. I would suggest getting external catering we were told it would be a carvery that was supposed to be worth £35 per person but when the food came out the only thing that wasn't processed was the one boiled potato. There were no mash potato. Even the Meat looked like it came out of a packet. The worst carvery I've ever had. I've had some cheap work Christmas dinners that were better than this. After the food the preparations for the after party wasn't the best took longer than expected because The weather was bad but there was no where inside prepared for photos even though they have a spare room which is normally used for breakfast thats not being utilised.

We have just spent a night in this hotel 🤢 if you like the feeling of being in an episode of phoenix nights, this is definitely the place for you! The staff are friendly enough. The room however wasn't great, we paid £75 and there was an ominous stain on the bed. The room was about 100 degrees celcius, when asked if everything was ok with the room, I asked why it was so hot and was informed that if the heating is switched off there is no hot water for people to shower. So if you enjoy a good sauna, maybe consider booking in the summer as I imagine the heat will be unbearable! Also bring your own shower gel as there is only a small bar of soap provided! We skipped breakfast, so can't comment on this, however the location is very good with lots of other amenities within walking distance! There is a tram stop close by too.
