My partner treated me to my 61st birthday meal here on Friday. I had the 10oz ribeye steak, cooked to perfection (med/rare) absolutely beautiful, full of taste and generous portion. My partner is a vegetarian, so don't remember what she had!! But she said it was amazing! The waitress was spot on, cheerful, friendly and on the ball. The owner (Carl) and all the locals were very pleasant and welcoming. Thank you 'Team Fox' for a fantastic, memorable and pleasant experience. Kind regards Andy + her indoors π
Me and my family came here for a meal recently, and had a great experience. We were made to feel really welcome at this quiet, traditional family-run pub in an idyllic location. My mum is coeliac, so we rang ahead to see if they'd be able to offer gluten-free options - they were so helpful and accommodating fr om first phone call to the experience on the night. There were delicious options for the gluten-free, veggie, vegan and meat-eaters among us (the desserts were particularly good!) I'd definitely recommend to others.
Called in for a drink while staying at the pub's campsite. Unfortunately, food wasn't being served due to a local outside catering opportunity but we enjoyed a couple of pints and crisps. The campsite offers great far-reaching views towards the moors, with a glimpse of the sea, and is less than 10 minutes drive to Staithes.
Magic find, beautiful views and amazing food, plus a really warm welcome. Dog friendly.
Fantastic place, genuinely outstanding food and a warm welcome from the Landlord. We bumped into the Landlady at the local butchers in Hinderwell where she was buying meat for the pub and we know the meat there is superb so we thought we would give the Fox Inn a try. We were so glad we did as the pub is in a beautiful setting, peaceful and quiet with fantastic views. The 12oz Ribeye steak was beautifully tender and the pork loin was in an exquisitely tasting stilton sauce, lovely home made chips and fresh vegetables all presented beautifully. Genuinely, if you like fabulous food then give this lovely pub a try. We shall be returning again and again.
