We walked down from the Cleveland way route. Very steep but worth the effort. Lovely sandy beach, probably lovely to swim when the tide is higher than our visit. We went as the reviews for fossil hunting were good, but only returned with a few finds, better finds at saltwick bay. Great views, the cafe on site was nice, bit pricey but you're a captive audience so don't blame them. The public toilets just to the right of the café were some of the best I've needed to visit, very clean, and actually smelt clean too, a bonus! The beach is worth a visit, safe for children and dogs to zoom around and burn off some energy.
It's scenic, and serene. No noises, except the waves. It's an extremely good place for calming works, or even a romantic outdoors adventure. You'd have to bring your own food though, as there are almost no places to buy stuff. There's available parking, not cheap, but not cutthroat.
Nice (big) beach, many dogs and relative few people. Good swim and there are lifeguards around!
Another beautiful, sandy Yorkshire beach.
I was there for a late lunch in a party of 3 pax driving around from Durham, Middlesborough and Saltburn. Nice small pub with a view. Drove through the small cobbled road.
