Been a few times, its ok, not the worst place. But unfortunately on this occasion it wasn't a good experience, the place was absolutely freezing, yes its January and in an old mill, but the large industrial heaters was blowing cold air out all the time. Apart from the cold air coming out, you had to bypass a lot of areas because of the wind blowing from the heaters. Didn't stay long, went for a warm drink. Not really inspired to visit again any time soon.

Absolute diva that works here, he wouldn't let me and my friends in because he said we would mess about in his shop? We were very reasonable and said we just wanted to look around and that that wasn’t the case but he wouldn’t budge. I told him he wouldn’t let us in because of our age which he disagreed with but when I told him that he would probably let a 40 year old in the shop he said he would because they wouldn’t be ‘immature’ and ‘mess about’, proving my point. He also proceeded to tell me that I had an attitude problem- you don’t talk to customers like that, dreadful bloke

I Wouldn’t recommend this place to go in if you’re wanting to be made to feel like you’ve just nicked something, from the start he was straight up rude saying because we are students we aren’t aloud to come in because it’s always people like us who cause trouble. Which I feel is disrespectful of him, he then continues on saying “it’s not about age” so when me and my friends mention we have elder people on our course would he allow them in and he responded with “yes because they wouldn’t mess around”. He then continued to argue raising his voice with other customers around making me and my friends feel so embarrassed, no customer should walk into somewhere to be belittled by the staff member. I even told him he could follow/ keep and eye on us as we looked around that we generally just liked these types of things so wanted to have a little look. He raised his voice more and said we have an attitude problem and need to get out of his shop pointing his finger in my face. He is a disgusting man shouting at young people like that, no customer should be made to feel like that, very patronising behaviour and he is the one with the attitude problem.

Very strange staff. My friends were denied entry on the premise that they were college students and that ‘they would mess around’, an ageist premise that this member of staff denied was ageist despite saying he would allow entry to older students on our course. It seemed that he was struggling to justify his complete random mistreatment of costumers. Further highlighted when me and other students on our course had no issues entering the shop, even though we all had college lanyards on show. My friends, all interested in the kind of things sold in the shop, were belittled and embarrassed by this member of staff in front of other customers. It is clearly the behaviour of a bully and completely unacceptable, such behaviour ruined what would have been a lovely visit to salts mill. This is clearly a reoccurring issue, judging by other reviews and clearly hasn't been sufficiently dealt with. This member of staff, identified by a bald head and neck tattoo is clearly a bully and other staff members ought to be ashamed they failed to challenge this behaviour despite being present.
