Excellent bar with live music most nights. Saturday night was great and the band were very good. Recommend if you want a live music venue in Scarbados
Great place, really good selection of whiskies and of course Guinness!
We had the best night in here watching local talent in an open mic night. The pub was really busy which added to the atmosphere The entertainment was eclectic, singers, ukelele players, unicyclists and much more. Loads of character and extremely well run bar
We happened upon this little gem as we were rushing up the hill to try and get out of the rain somewhere. A folk band came on, we enjoyed it so much that We stayed all night. Lovely atmosphere.
Great bar and the live music is really good, Knocked 2 stars off for discriminatory policy’s. Saturday (16th September) it was fairly quiet before the 4pm singer and I experienced quite a concerning policy put into place on clientele attire. A man and his partner came in and barmaid refused to serve as he had tracksuit bottoms on. He was polite, totally sober but just black tracksuit bottoms. He explained he couldn’t wear anything else because of health conditions…..even proceeding to lift his shirt to show a colostomy bag which could have been quite embarrassing for himself to do in public but still the barmaid refused and said no tracksuit bottoms so he had to leave. It’s a bit of a joke when not upheld with others and women coming in with juicy joggers on and loads of blokes in sports shorts. Think the management need to rethink their policy/re train staff. Other than that it is one of the better bars in Scarborough.
