This was our first visit to Emma's but not the last. The food was served piping hot, freshly cooked and tasted great. Prices are very reasonable too. If you are Scarborough it's well worth a visit.
We stopped by for a spot of lunch on a Friday afternoon while waiting to check in at our hotel. It was busy but we found a seat. We were attracted to the specials board in the window, so we thought we'd try it out. Staff were friendly, and we were served quickly. The cafe was spotless and well presented. I ordered the turkey roll with chips and gravy. I was very disappointed with what I got. Firstly, this is not a roll, this is a bun, or the correct term in Yorkshire is a bap. The chips were OK,nice and chunky but tasteless. I was expecting gravy on the chips as described on the board, but that's not what I was given. At £8.95 this meal was certainly not worth it. Maybe a fiver would be more appropriate. Definitely will not be eating here again
Had breakfast today was very impressed with the food and the service. Very prompt service. Will definitely make this my go to place for breakfast. Food was delicious.
A lovely atmosphere in this traditional cafe serving great food at reasonable prices
Ordered Bacon, Brie and Cranberry Ciabatta. Ciabatta recipe or supplier seems to have changed, doesn't taste like it should. The chips tasted horrendous, like they'd been at the back of the freezer for too long, not fresh at all and looked like they'd seen better days. I think the care aspect has gone from this place, just running a business for pure profit, the pride in their output slowly diminishing. Things were much better under Michael and Sophia's management.
