Both the drinks and the food were exceptional up until about a year or so ago, give or take. There were interesting and creative rotated specials, made to a very high standard. It is now quite bland and uninspired. Everything on the specials board is now just sandwiches using deep fried bread, which is extremely stodgy and tasteless. The coffee is also persistently pretty poor. The staff are friendly and kind, but they can’t seem to produce it to a barista standard, and without fail, always spill it onto the saucer or get the order wrong. They need better/more training. Try letting the chefs decide on the specials menu. Let them go wild. I’m sure they can come up with something more inspired than hash browns with cheese on top, or a sandwich with sriracha sauce on it. We can get this stuff anywhere or make it better or cheaper ourselves. I cannot now see a reason to come here rather than go anywhere else to eat, whereas before there was always a reason to choose north street kitchen over anywhere else in Scarborough. What’s changed and why? Give me a reason to come back and spend more of my money. Can you accept the criticism and change for the better, securing a future for the business and your staff, or will you dismiss me with a sarcastic response? I’m sure your staff and customers will appreciate the former.

Superb. I’m very picky about the food being fresh, local and cooked there and then on the premises when I eat out (I mean, what’s the point of eating out and paying for someone to heat up a precooked meal). You can taste the excellent quality of the food here. The menu is a mix of delicious eggs-based brunch food and sandwiches all made fresh. Given the quality of the produce, it’s good value. Friendly and helpful service, too. I wish I’d found this gem sooner!

Went to this place today. Served by Jack and another lady briefly. The food, coffee and establishment were absolutely incredible. The coffee tasted great and the food was so, so tasty. I had a lamb flatbread for my lunch and it tasted soooooooo good. Jack was absolutely fantastic. Really lovely fella. When we come to Scarborough again. We will 100% be back. Very highly recommend. 10/10

Entered this lovely little cafe after being caught in snow for a good couple of hours. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Got sorted with hot drinks which were top tier and so was the Ban Minh sandwich 10/10. Discovered to dogs were aloud too which is always a bonus.

Really good. I had a cappuccino and the breakfast burrito, which was very tasty. I wonder if it could be made better still by adding some sort of sauce / salsa on the side (or maybe guacamole, sour cream - you could make it a +£1 upsell or something). Very tasty though, and I'll visit again when I am next in the area.
