Judging by the queue so soon after opening time, it's a popular place! Despite this, ordering is swift and the staff are efficient so despite the dozen or so people ahead of me, the wait was only 12-15 minutes. The portions are generous and our six varied meals were all nicely cooked. To be honest, my cod wasn't great but everyone else was happy with their meal. At around £12 a meal the prices are a little higher than I'm used to in Cornwall but overall a positive experience 🙂
I wasn’t impressed with the offerings of this place really considering the generally positive reviews. Ordered 2 x Fish & Chips, one fish was a small Haddock & the other was the only size option available in Cod, which to be fair was huge. I found both the fish to be on the dry side & the ends of both fish were very very chewy like they had been over cooked. Not good enough considering the food wasn’t exactly cheap either.
Best fish and chips we have had this week. We got take out on the way back to our accommodation. Food service was fast considering how busy it was. The meals were good size portions and very tasty. Pricing was a good price considering some of the other options we have seen, good value for money
Consistently really good fish & chips. Very clean with the bonus of "scraps" on the side. Not tried any others in Scarborough but this is the one the locals recommend & it surely can't get better than this.
A Must-Visit for Fish & Chips Lovers! As a tourist visiting Scarborough for the first time, I was really hoping to find some proper, traditional fish and chips — and I’m so glad we stopped here! The fish was beautifully fresh, with light, crispy batter and perfectly cooked chips — golden, fluffy, and not greasy at all. The portion sizes were generous, and everything was piping hot. We sat outside with a sea view. The staff were friendly and welcoming, even though it was busy, and service was quick and efficient. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Scarborough and want a taste of proper seaside fish and chips done right. Will definitely be coming back next time we're in town!
