Orchard Café

Only went in for pot of tea for 2 and a latte. Asked for extra hot latte, was told its a machine and you get what you get. She said the price £ 9.40 I gave £10, she gave me a receipt and told me to wait for my drinks near a machine. I asked her do I get any change, she sighed opened the till and gave me my change. I then waited for my drinks I didnt see anyone making them so I went to get spoons and serviettes. What came to the table was a small pot of tea, 2 cups, milk and for my friend a cold whipped milk coffee. For a Cafe that's just open i would have thought it would have been much better.

Upstairs cafe, very friendly atmosphere and good value food. We went twice in 1 day on our trip to Scarborough. Its on a corner so easy to find, (next to another cafe) toilets up more stairs

Was so excited to come back after hearing it had reopened, chips and gravy were as good as I remembered! & all the staff are doing a great job with getting to know the cafe, keep up the good work! Will be back again 😄

I went quite early in the morning so it was very quiet but the food was lovely and excellent value, served very quickly. A great place if you want a cheap and cheerful fry up. It felt very homely :)

Menu shows that meals are vegetarian. Ordered 'Mushrooms on Toast' for my partner, who is a vegetarian, and halfway through her meal she found a piece of bacon. I queried this with the staff and they told me to make it clear next time that it's for a vegetarian as they cook it all on the same grill anyway. They didn't offer a refund; only a replacement. A replacement is no good as the cross-contamination would still occur because they don't use separate grills. Disgusting. I will not be visiting a Cooplands ever again and shall be recommending others to avoid them as well.
