Avoid this car park. You will be charged from the point of entry and not when you buy the ticket. There are no disabled parking bays and blue badge holders have to pay full tariff. If you get fined, as we did, pay the fine online and DO NOT use your phone, as they will tell you your card has expired. Write down the reference number when you pay. Would have given 0 stars, but unable to post less than one.

AVOID - Beware do not use!! Parked whilst charing and paid correct amount for duration. Exited well within paid for time. Received PCN stating no ticket purchased. Disproved this with photo of ticket and proof of purchase. Then they stated this was void as only partial registration recorded on ticket - reading reviews this looks like their next step and modus operandi. Update Parking appeal failed so have had topay £60 as company car - despite proving payment for a ticket. The payment machine is clearly set up to only capture part registrations - hence they can then claim a correct ticket was not purchased. My failure in the parking appeal was not to send screen shots of these reviews so please make sure you send in review examples so a pattern of behaviour can be shown in the part registration piece.

I got fined because the time starts when you enter the car park and stops when you leave, not for the duration you are actually parked. Doesn't allow reasonable grace period to find a space, maneuver, start EV charging, unload car - and similar upon return. Appeal process was pointless as above factors (and more) we're disregarded

Warning. Do not park here. It’s run by a terrible company called Initial. My car was blocked for a few minutes on exiting due to the state of the car park, and I received a £100 fine. They’re extremely aggressive in the way they communicate, they lie, and everyone should avoid parking here at all costs.

DO NOT USE THIS PARKING SITE. June 2025. My experience was similar to Sarah 1star 8 months ago. I would give zero if I could. I was on my first visit to Scarborough and my mapping App for electric car drivers found this charging site. I entered the car park in order to get to the electric car chargers. The entrance is quite tight and made worse by a kerb down the middle of the entrance/exit. The car park is small, quite difficult to manoeuvre around, but I managed to get to one of the chargers. As I had been concentrating so much on manoeuvring in the car park I didn't notice the Charging Board. That is my fault, I know. I didn't see any notice on the chargers to say that "parking" had to be paid for, as Sarah did. I have only charged at charging sites a handful of times, but even in car parks, nowhere have I had to pay parking charges to charge my car. I am NOT parking, I am stopping at an electric charger to charge my car. My appeal took very few hours to come back to me, it was rejected. On looking at photos here online, the Notice states Blue Badge holders must pay; there is nothing to state electric car drivers must pay. Although Initial Parking allow the reduced amount to be paid after a rejection, if you want to Complain you effectively have to pay £40. If you Complain you must pay the £100 fine; absolutely disgraceful. They are just on a money making trip.I was only on the site for 11 minutes and I have to pay £60. Thieves and robbers. DO NOT USE THIS PARKING SITE.
