Just rang to enquire about registering as a deputy for mums account. Unfortunately didn't get the name of the person I spoke to but she was very helpful and explained the process. She even checked for a local branch near me as I live quite a distance from scarboro. Thank you for your help.
My brother and I had to go into branch to register an LPA. My brother had traveled 1.5 hours and on arrival needed to use the toilet only to be refused as there are no facilities at branch. My brother is disabled and was directed to the local MacDonalds to use their facilities. Whilst completely understanding the rationale around security for the refusal to use staff facilities surely there is an argument for at least disabled facilities in branch? We are amazed and disappointed that the needs of people with disabilities has been overlooked (or ignored) by a bank of this magnitude. Furthermore the interior is slick and very modern obviously directed at able bodied people who can get into branch easily…. isn’t this discrimination?
The staff were ok but there can be long waits to be seen.
