Brook Square Surgery

I’m reviewing as I see these poor reviews and I can honestly say over the last few years I have received nothing but positive and professional treatment from all at Brook square and through a very hard few years medically. I see on the appointments information that 280 appointments were missed in one month by patients so maybe not all the faults lie with practice. I’d like to thank Brook square staff for the professionalism and care I have experienced since 2020.

Brilliant gp surgery. Since i joined over 3 years ago, they have helped with my complex medical issues far better than last gp surgery and helped make me life a bit more comfortable. I have regular injections for bursitis and this gp surgery has done 4 injections in the time it would take the local NHS trust to do one( upto 18 month waiting list with nhs trust). The gp's and nurses listen to my problems and deal with them both professionally while still showing a caring and understanding side that is missing in other parts of the nhs.

Constant, reoccurring battles to get prescriptions for children even though doctor confirms that it needs to be via prescription and school/nursery do not administer unless it comes via prescription. Simply told to buy over the counter and online order form is closed/rejected without the opportunity to explain.

I can honestly say this is the worst doctors I have ever had the misfortune of being with. Trying to get an appointment is like jumping through flaming hoops, and the person who answers the emails is like a tin pot god who throws things back at you all the time. Then when you are available to reply to their emails, the email system is closed or you have missed the deadline. Last year, my prescription was messed up so many times, the pharmacist was rolling her eyes at the patheticness of it all. Absolutely shocking. Anyone else who showed this incompetence would be sacked.

I couldn't be happier with this surgery! Such helpful staff and waiting times are low. Reception staff are amazing...and Harry is a superstar! They have gone above and beyond since mine and my husbands illness. Thank you all x
