Unfortunately, here, like everywhere in England, they do fillings for children very quickly, in 10 minutes. It shouldn't be like that. After 2 months, the filling falls out.
Wonderful professional, friendly, supportive and efficient on numerous and frequent occasions for both my granddaughter and my father. Highest praise for the home and end of life support for my father, from everyone including doctors, nurses, reception, and telephone staff.
I rang while unable to breath properly. Apparently this wasn't urgent to them and received a text saying I'd get an appointment in 2-5 weeks. After calling them back and explaining that breathing was quite important they got me an appointment later the same day. I went in to a nearly empty waiting room so they clearly weren't busy! After all that I saw a Doctor called Chrissie who was great. This doctors surgery used to be great until it was took over. It's rating speaks volumes of how good it is now.
Extremely rude young blonde girl on the left side of the three as you face the counter, I had told her that I had just been to the chemist to tell them I didn't have enough allopurinol tablets till the date on my next issue, I said that I spent all the day before searching for them but couldn't remember receiving them in the first place, the date was 13.6.and my next issue was due about a month later, the chemist told me there was a mistake and and my tablets were due in 4 days and to go to the surgery and ask if they could make the precription for today. the girl said I will ask the doctor for you, I told her that I had missed nearly two days and was already feeling the inflammation start in my left foot and with it being a Friday I couldn't wait till Monday to take the next tablet or I would have had a full blown attack of swelling and be in serious pain with gout which could last for months after, she told me that I should have known that I was running out of tablets and it was nothing to do with her, I said it was because of the wrong date on the prescription that I hadn't realised and was it possible to receive the new precription today, she said its up to the doctor and I can't do anything about it, I expressed that I really needed it today and she just kept repeating "its nothing to do with me." I couldn't believe she was being so rude and told her that she had a real attitude.
My honest opinion having recently had to deal with this poor excuse for a Doctors Surgery is FIND ANYWHERE ELSE INSTEAD. I am horrified by the level or in this case total lack of care given to patients. I called on three separate occasions recently to resolve an issue and although Caller Number One in the queue had to wait over 20 minutes on all occasions to speak to someone who then tried to get me off the phone as quickly as possible without listening to what I was saying, understanding the urgency, engaging or trying to work with me to resolve the health concern. All I wanted was a home visit for an elderly relative under their care to address serious failings in her care after been utterly appalled by the state they had left her in when last visiting. They have changed an active, sprightly and sentient 85+ year old into a chair bound, ulcer ridden, sepsis level infected shadow of her former self, shame on them and shame on what they have done to undermine many years good service that patients received for many years from Dr Scarborough and his team there. Since his departure the care levels have seriously dropped and over a period of 5 years have gone from a highly recommended, caring, professional practice into something that in my opinion should be closed down for the good of their patients. Suffice to say the wheels are in motion to move my relative away from them as quickly as possible, she had until the last five years really felt safe, well looked after and cared for by this practice, she stayed with them out of loyalty and a belief that things would get better. Well it did today, not due to them, due to getting the documents filled in to sign her up to a new practice. Attached are pictures of what I was faced with when I walked in to see her, the smell was awful, the oozing, seeping, weeping and debris attached appalling, that a doctor had been out recently and was more concerned with taking a stool sample just because she felt a little constipated rather than taking in the smell in the room and engaging with where the real problem was a shining example of the ineptitude of the practice. These types of things are not because the NHS is crippled by the government it is because it is becoming more of a numbers game with the more patients taken on the more revenue for the practice, with the lack of staff the care is split over more and more patients meaning this happens, far to easily – care is not about profit making for a company it is about care, caring, having the desire to want to help people and the will and support to do it. NOT to make as much money with the least amount of staff and hope the ones falling through the net are not noticed.
