Absolutely shocking communication, has taken over a week to get my medication, fobbed off, blatantly lied to. Calls not returned, actually went to reception, spoke to Gill, who was dismissive, arrogant and plain rude and disrespectful. Used to be the best surgery, now the worst. CQC report speaks volumes, needs a complete overhaul, starting with receptionists. Serious lack of communication on every level, any faith I did have in this practice has been wrung out of me this last week. Disgusting, you complain and nothing changes.

I was calling on behalf of my partners grandmother. Aiden was fantastic, very professional and gave great advice regarding a possible confused appointments between the GP and district nurse. A couple of more phone calls and it was all sorted thanks to Aiden. Made it a stress free experience.

I know i have anxiety and I also belive im autstic so making a doctors appointment is very hard for me. I finally made a appointment to see a doctor because I am feeling so ill all the time. My legs are cramping so bad I can hardly walk. When i went to see the doctor she basically ignored everything I was saying focused on the chest pain ive been feeling and told me it's just anxiety and offerd me anti depressants.so ive figured I will just have to stay ill and hope its nothing serious it is worrying how many women are being told they have anxiety and ignored

Absolutely disgusting, whenever you need an appointment they make you wait upto 3-4 weeks. Constantly palming people off to the hospital A&E which is over crowded as it is. Receptionists are rude, arrogant, useless and completely unqualified to do their job. Doctors couldn’t care less, it’s an absolute disgrace.

Mr Black at Haxby a grand doctor. The COVID and nurse services brilliant. The rest is a disgrace and dangerous. I mean life threatening! Cancer does not get looked into as cannot get an appointment. Almost 6 months later and still no help. Twice I asked them to note on my file that the pharmacist had recommended an immediate visit as likely an ear infection that had to be caught many say within 3 days. Twice I got texts to say no appointment and go and see a pharmacist. Too late damage done! As a result of negligence I have severe hearing loss and live with throbbing ears, pain and weirdness. Finally, I met with a female doctor I explained horrendous ear pain, tinnitus a bit and physically wavering around and brain so disorientated I dropped things and I didn't know. (I have got more used to it now). One evening I had a sudden huge screeching jazz orchestra sound in both ears. I dropped a pen on a surface - no sound. Residents at work that day had Antibiotics for infections. Next day at work I could not hear if the fridge door was open - 3 weeks later I had to leave as could not hear residents. This was mentioned to Haxby when I finally got seen. They made a mistake and instead of me being given a routine waiting list date I got an urgent appointment. Zilch results!!!!!!! Instead I suggested a nasal spray and the doctor looked at me as if to say why didn't I think of that! Requested urgent hospital appointment. 3 months later and a lot of awful life changes the hospital Dr. said aging and nerve damage. Was not even allowed a hearing test. That would be in about 2 weeks he said. 5 months later it turned out to be! Immediate hearing loss is not years worth of gradual change! 3 Audiologists have shown me middle ear severe glue ear pictures. The hospital incompetent, dismissive and irritable thing on legs said I had not glue ear as only children get it. Well, he needs to go back to school and might be nice to learn some manners at the same time! 3rd (£300 when private) Audiologist today gave me lots of information and repeated pictures of severe glue ear that are not healing. I need a G.P. appointment. On-line Haxby says none available. Triage will make me wait 5 + weeks or how about recommend me back to the brilliant pharmacist at Cohen's! I am so scared I might get another cold or ear infection and lose the tiny bit I have left. Not even in today's NHS climate and systems does Haxby meet needs. My friend had lung cancer diagnosed rapidly from her G.P. and has chemo meds after major surgery etc and 7 months later an all clear report. Would she be even able to stand up much less be alive with Lawrence House?
