I have been with this Doctors for over 4 years, and have never been able to see one. I am always given a nurse! I work so am limited to when I am able to go. You are told to ring at 8 am, and then you are in a long queue, and with working are not able to hang on for the long periods needed to obtain an appointment. I changed Doctors hoping to be able to more easily get appointments, but have found this has not been the case. Scarborough is becoming a place of very few good Doctors, and that really worries me as I get older.

Trying to get an appointment or a prescription is ridiculous with this online rubbish , I mean what's wrong with been able to ring up for my medication or a appointment so today I tried for an appointment and still not got one so will try again tomorrow but that means two days off work without pay so will see how tomorrow goes and no joy it will be try and get a new doctors

What to say about this surgery? Dr. Cole is an excellent doctor and I have nothing but good things to say. The way things are run however is awful. Need to phone at 8am to try to get an appointment and I say try because 9 out of 10 times you’ll be booked an appointment a month away. When you are booked an appointment it will be a telephone call or you’ll be asked to travel all the way to Danes Dyke surgery to be seen. Even if you explain that you physically cannot make the trip there you won’t get anywhere with the reception staff. No empathy and extreme lack of care to patients. They change procedures that affects patients without telling patients. It’s so bad I’m now in the process of applying for another surgery.

This is not the era of same day appointments any more and people need to realise that's what 13 years of ruining the NHS has done. The automated system works if you follow the procedure, they even allow you to recieve a call back when you're at the front of the queue. Always had prompt prescription deliveries (again, I book mindful of the delays so I'm never let down) and if I request specifically a doctor I am given one but if I want a shorter wait and it's not life threatening I can see a nurse practitioner. It is not the ideal, we want to be able to see a doctor when we need them, not 1 month down the line, but without encouragement and investing the nhs will not go back to this way. If it is a worry I have 111 I can call in the meantime.

They take good care of me and it's always easy to get an appointment.
