sold a large collection (600+ volumes) of manga to them. they arranged collection of the items as I am in scotland, and were super helpful throughout the process. what would have taken months to sell individually I got a fair price for without any of the hassle. highly recommend them!

I was going up the castle to Anne Bronte's grave and having seen all the major book shops in York the day before, I didn't expect to find one in Scarborough that would be as good. But I was so wrong because this one way better! This bookshop is a gem. Really affordable, amazing collection of literary fiction, poetry and drama. Very friendly owner. I'm so glad I made the short detour even though it meant climbing up the castle and church with books' weight in my backpack.

Brilliant bookshop with lots of choice of all genres. There are mostly second hand books, but you can find new books as well. Prices are great and reflect the condition of the books. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I come to Scarborough once a year and a visit to Emporium is a must. Their stock of second hand books is awesome. Today was the turn of some Badfords that they had recently acquired. Prices are very reasonable, too. The bookshop staff are always friendly and helpful.

Brilliant bookshop. Lots of unusual titles at great prices plus second hand and older books. Well worth a visit.
