I spent a few enjoyable hours browsing the Oxfam shop on Newborough, Scarborough, and came away genuinely impressed. It’s well laid-out and spacious enough to amble around comfortably; things are organised by category, which makes it easy to find clothes, books, or homeware without elbowing through piles. The selection is excellent. There were plenty of quality, pre-loved clothes — many pieces that look barely worn — and the book section is a real treasure trove for anyone who loves reading. Whether you want a classic novel, something newer, or children’s books, there’s something for every taste. The accessories and homeware items are also good value and often unique: quirky mugs, little decorations, scarves, even nice bags, all at prices that feel fair considering the condition and the fact you’re supporting a good cause. The staff and volunteers make a big difference. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful without being pushy. If you ask a question — about sizing, condition of items, donations etc. — they’re patient and clearly care.

Rude staff in there, just really impolite. They had some nice items in there but wouldn’t go back because of the attitude of the ladies working in there.

Usual charity stuff. Not a good place to buy cheap clothes prises are to high and yes I know its for charity but stuff is way over prised .
