The Vintage Shop Scarborough

Fantastic shop, the owner was full of plenty of information regarding my purchases. Some real history pieces. Was a pleasure to meet you and I am jn love with what I bought. I will be back again

Visited Scarborough for the first time last summer and was so happy to find this gem! Of course I didn’t leave without finding a dress to purchase! Tried on a few (which sadly didn’t fit) but was very happy to settle on a Hobbs midi satin slip dress with a beautiful mesh floral overlay which has become a staple part of my wardrobe. I can’t remember what I paid but I remember it being extremely decent and the owner made a comment on how lovely it was. All kinds of other great bits and bobs to look at too which my husband enjoyed. Please be aware that this building is sadly not accessible friendly, it is a tight squeeze and a lot of the garments/ dressing room was upstairs.

Don’t even think about “just popping in.” Once you cross the threshold, clear your diary. You will age a full decade while she goes off on a monologue. To make matters worse, she seems to think she’s a one-woman episode of Gok Wan’s Fashion Fix—except without the charm. Rude little digs dressed up as “observations”? Check. Unsolicited comments about peoples appearances? Double check. I have no idea why a business owner would make body shaming comments to a TWELVE year old child that suffers with anxiety and self harm. But this lady did. If you value your time (or your self-esteem), I’d suggest giving this place a very wide berth.

One of the best vintage shops I have visited they have a wide range of things to acquire also Debbie the own is so friendly and able to help with whatever you need if visiting Scarborough I recommend calling into the vintage shop so much to choose from
