Skate shop, hand painted boards and skate lessons with tons of stuff to drop in on or grind. They've built the interior and expanded it now. They do classes for kids, adults, beginners, advanced and even host sessions for Scarborough Parent Pod. There's a balcony with stools to watch your kids and a DJ set up for later sessions.

My son has been having lessons here for about 6 months. The staff and even their skateboarder friends are really encouraging with all the kids there. Great place and my son loves it here.

We visited Dissent on a family holiday in Scarborough back in August when my eldest son needed replacement bearings. The owner was welcoming, clearly knew his stuff and was very honest about what we did (and didn’t) need, making sure we only bought what was suitable for my son’s board at that time. He also changed the bearings while we waited, which saved a potential headache for me later on! Very happy with our experience and will definitely contact this shop again for any other parts etc in future.
