A lovely, quiet hotel. My husband and I stayed for two nights, with our two young children in a family sized room. The room was very pleasant with modern decor and the sleeping arrangements were adequate for us all. The owners were very friendly and helpful and allowed us to store luggage before check in and after check out. The location is good, it's a fair walk into town, very close to Peasholm Park and the beach, though. The room rates are very fair, this actually swung my decision to change my booking from another hotel to this one. Highly recommended.
Great wee B&B. Owners accommodated us very short notice after a farce at Grand Hotel. A bit stand offish at first but they took time out later to come and chat. Room very clean and having a wet room was a blessing (some shower cubicles are tiny) had a great sleep, bed very comfy. Never had breakfast Cos we wanted a long lie in bed. I would definitely book again if I was in the area.
Terrible place to stay. The man that works there is very grumpy and the lady isn't much better. The room and bathroom was dirty and I turned over my Pillow and looked like a blood stain. I complained and gave me another room whith the most uncomfortable bed I had ever slept on and plus the room was also a bit dirty and dusty. The breakfast was cold both morning I got it and the cuple that owned it wore the same clothes the time I was there. I'm glad I was only hear for two nights it is just over all a horrible place to stay.
Awful place. Room was dirty and bathroom had hairs all over the floor and shower. Taps in bathroom sink didn't work and shower was poor. Curtain hanging off dirty rail and window wouldnt close. £100 a night, expected better. Breakfast was included but we left first thing and couldn't wait to get away
2 Adults + 2 Children - £81ish inclding continental breakfast. It was the cheapest by far. So lets be Honest. I was looking for a small cheap place to rest my head for one night, I found it. All these other reviews (which i saw before i booked) They was obviously a bit more upper class than me because i thought it was ok. I arrived at half 10 yeah i had to wait around for 20 mins to wait for the owner getting back with supplies, i Didn't check in straight away, I asked the owner if i could leave my vehicle there until it was time to check in, he was more than accomodating. We used the toilet which could of used a bit of a clean but my 5 year old boy aint the best aim either. He gave us a map that we had a look at then i sent my wife 2 doors down for a relaxing 75 min full body massage. whilst i explored the local peasholme park and the north bay. I went back to the hotel and asked the owner if we could check in early in order to spend longer out. We checked in at 1400. I asked to see the room first which i was dreading by the other reviews, and guess what. it was ok clean bedding and towels. Tea coffee facilities, Iron and board hair dryer and TV with UK freeview. Bish bash bosh, we started our trip as a family. after a few donkey rides and a trip to LUNA PARK (fun fair) we headed to the south bay area were we went in the sea arcades and shops. The kids were a little wet so we headed back to the hotel for a shower before tea. The en suite bathroom was small but big enough for a pregnant lady and her son to get showered and dressed in. The bar is in the dining room and was closed. Upon requeest the owner opened the bar where they stock Larger, Bitter, Ale and Spirits, Not many granted but if there is nothing that you like there is a shop over the road where you can purchase your own. Remember £20 per person ( i was not expecting the Ritz) The owner recommened place to eat and go for entertainment and taxi companies to take us there although there is a bus on the north bay that will take you to south bay. (tip dont get the scarborugh district one get the blue and yellow bus its cheaper for a family ticket. £7 2 adults + 2 Kids all day return. They are more frequent too. After our evening out we were pretty knackered so went to bed. The beds were comfy and we all had a good nights kip. Breakfast options continental Cearel to start (could of been Bigger) followed by a yog and a hot cross bun and toast tea coffee and o.j. £2 per head non too shabby. Although we would have prefered to pay the extra £2 per head and have what the other families were having as there english breakfasts looked nice and big. Breakfast over check out at 10. I asked the owner if there were any problems leaving my vehicle in the car park all day. No worries his reply. What a sound and gerally nice guy. The only things that i could ask of this hotel is a lick of paint in the halls, Internet ( as i understand the wifi signal is robbed by all the steel works in the foundations of the building but with the right kit he could easily hard wire ethernet cables in. And a pull handle on the inside of doors for the rooms. Now i am being to picky. General feel of the place is ok just dont book it because its cheap and then expect the hilton because you aint gonna get it. In my experiance all the negatives listed by others are made up by hospitiality, the owner could not have gone out of his way enough to accomodate us thank you.
