Parking at the back, a convenience store opposite and a bakery down the road make this a very useful place to stay if you're doing things in the North Bay or the Open Air Theatre (a ten minute walk). Breakfast available 8:30-9 for a small extra charge. Rooms are small, but functional, with en suite. Being on a main road, with a takeaway opposite meant it eventually got quiet. Mattress was quite hard, but the whole place did the job for what we wanted.
We had top floor rooms and to reach them you need to climb many stairs. Staircase are also narrow. The rooms are not spacious and bathrooms don't have showers... Be prepared to take a bath. There are smoking rooms on each floor which is easier for smokers but not at all comfortable for non smokers as you can smell in the corridor. Only plus point is that very near to amenities and you can get it booked at the very last minute.
A good B and B in Scarborough. Very reasonably price. Comfortable room. Great Breakfast and is run and owned bbay a really nice couple. Recommended
Nice and cheap room. Can't complain for the price. Bed not the comfiest in the world, tv was tiny. But all we needed was somewhere convenient and cheap to sleep, and for that this was pretty much perfect.
Very nice people that run Thornhurst.the room we where in was ment to be for family.. However was very small for just two people. Shower room very pokey.all nice and clean. Car park very small. Breakfast very good
