Glenholme Guest House Room only

A warm, friendly welcome from charming hosts to a lovely property which is ideally situated within walking distance of the beach and the towns cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. They were knowledgeable about the town and area and happily advised us of places to visit. A good sized nicely warm twin room, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. As was the whole guest house, inside and out. Unexpected little extras made the stay special, fresh milk in the fridge along with chilled water and quality coffees and teas. Again Quality bedding and towels and soaps in the modern clean ensuite shower room.

Glenholme is a beautiful guest accommodation house. The hosts Julie and Mikael gave us such a warm welcome on arrival and it is quite obvious the amount of thought and effort they have put in to their house. We've stayed in many self catering and guest bedrooms and this is up there with the best. Hard to think really how it can be improved upon.... It can't. Well done to you both.

This was our third stay at Glenholme. The room was extremely well decorated and very clean and tidy. It had various items in the room such as a fan, (Great given the current hot weather) bowls, plates, glasses, cups, a kettle and a coffee machine, (a nice touch and well used during our stay) tea, coffee and, cleaning products/tea towel to help wash up. Shower in the bathroom was very easy to use-both in terms of adjusting flow and temperature. Julie and Mikael are very friendly and courteous people and genuinely care about the people who stay at the hotel. The hotel is very well located. Near to the Pea Zone park and the north bay. It's also very near to the south bay where you will find all the amusements to entertain the small children and adults who want to entertain their inner child. There are lots of restaurants local to the hotel- a Chinese restaurant, Indian restaurant and fish and chips shop and there is a cafe approximately 100-200 metres from the hotel. The Hotel is located near to the city centre. (about 10-15 minutes walk) There is some off road parking at the back of the hotel. (Mikael can direct you) There is a lounge downstairs should you want to relax outside of your room. There is also space at the back of the hotel with a chairs and a table and a table and bench set should you want to sit outside during your stay. Mikael and Julie do not provide any meals, but this has not bothered us as the hotel is near to an aforementioned cafe and lots of restaurants and cafes in the city centre. Mikael and Julie were so kind and welcoming, they were the perfect hosts. The Glenholme itself is beautifully decorated, with lots of homely touches and everything you could need (and more). The location was perfect for exploring both bays, and the parking a real perk. We would love to return. 10/10

Extremely welcoming on arrival, gave us information to make the most of our stay, including places to visit, eat and drink. Rooms spacious and clean with extras to make our stay more comfortable. Will definitely stay again when visiting the town, particularly the theatre which is a short walk away.
