The Cavendish Bed and Breakfast Scarborough

I cannot rate this stay highly enough. We were a little apprehensive as we are definitely hotel people but having read the reviews we thought we would give the Cavendish a try and I’m so glad we did. This is a traditional B&B both in decor and in service and the experience was excellently delivered. It’s old fashioned but not tired and someone has a flare for complimenting it’s features with more up to date touches and colour schemes. I am so fussy and this place is spotlessly clean, immaculate. Gorgeous bedding and a super comfy bed. Extra special tea and coffee making facilities and lovely bathroom products. THE BREAKFAST WAS OUTSTANDING. A made to order hot selection of quality, beautifully cooked, food and you could help yourself to fresh fruit, yogurt, nuts, seeds, spreads and fruit juices. Amazing coffee. On top of this, I couldn’t believe the price we paid. Easy walk into Scarborough and was the perfect base for Whitby and Castle Howard. Thank you Neale & Lis for a perfect stay we really can’t thank you enough.

We have really enjoyed our stay here. Right from the moment Neale & Lis opened the door we were made to feel welcome. Our room was spacious and immaculate. Good quality hospitality tray with tea, coffee and hot chocolate and packets of biscuits, fresh milk which was topped up daily. Good quality toiletries in the bath room and nice large bath towels. Another nice touch was a pantry for guests which has a fridge with bottled water and juice along with snacks for guests to help themselves to. Breakfast menu had a good choice. We both had a full English breakfast with great quality produce and cooked to perfection. There was a large choice of cereals fresh fruit and yoghurt. We would highly recommend The Cavendish and will be back. You guys are amazing thank you.

Excellent 4 day break in Scarborough. We booked the Cavendish on the strength of previous reviews and were not disappointed. ( actually worth more than 5/5 if that were possible ). A warm welcome on arrival, spotlessly clean throughout, and a nice comfortable spacious room. Lis and Neale were very helpful when needed and nothing was too much trouble. Neale's breakfasts are to die for !. Thanks for everything. Neale's breakfasts are to die for.

Thanks to Lis and Neale for a lovely couple of nights. Our room was lovely; clean and well furnished with plenty of storage. The extras were a nice touch including the ‘Pantry’ (offering light snacks and refreshments) and ironing facilities (available on the first floor landing should you need them). Our bed was comfortable, the room was light and airy, the breakfast menu was extensive and service was excellent. All in all, we had a great stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Another fantastic stay at the Cavendish. A lovely warm welcome from Lis and Neale. Everything to a very high standard, immaculate accommodation and fantastic breakfast even though Neale's knee replacement was only the week before we stayed.
