Set in Scarborough's beautiful valley, the Ashburton House is a family-run B&B that is just 10 minutes’ walk along the tree-lined Valley Road from the South Bay and town center. The B&B has its own off-street car park.
All of the charming and comfortable bedrooms have their own private bathroom and are well equipped with large flat TVs screen, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryers and radio alarm clocks. Every year at least one of the 8 bedrooms is fully refurbished.
Throughout the public areas, the B&B aims to capture the charm and elegance of the late Victorian period, during which the property was built.
The B&B offers an extensive breakfast menu and as well as serving a full English breakfast, also offers grilled kippers, smoked salmon and many other lighter options.

Fantastic place to stay, very welcoming hosts. Rooms are clean spacious and tastefully decorated. Beds are very comfortable, breakfast is excellent and the location is very good. Highly recommend. I have stayed here before and will always stay here when I'm in Scarborough***"*
Enjoyed our stay, lovely room, clean and well presented. Service provided spot on. Breakfast was very nice indeed. Only stayed the one night but would have loved to stay longer. I'll be back.
What a fantastic place to stay. We stayed for three nights. Parking plot right outside, a warm welcome by the owners, fantastic rooms, well heated, well appointed with snacks and drinks, a comfortable bed, all clean and tidy. This is our second visit and this is our favourite place to stay nearby. I could not have asked for more.
Second time ive been and its been great each time. Wonderful host, great rooms for the price, fantastic breakfast and in a great location thats near the coast but not too close that you hear seagulls constantly (which is a must). Will def come for a 3rd time!
Spent 3 nights here we were on the top floor, the room was small and cosy with everything you need. Slept really well on a very comfy bed. The breakfast is an extra charge of £10 per person which was great value for money cooked fresh and very tasty. Nothing was too much trouble when asked for.
