The Almar

Julie & John were simply outstanding hard-working hosts. They were obliging from the outset & couldn't do enough & I even ended up having a drink at their bar with them. The room (No.8) was lovely & immaculate throughout with lots of little extras & even a Mitchell & Brown tv. The breakfast was outstanding ( with John's special fried bread) in the front lounge with lovely decor & pictures. The whole experience was superb value. They have a high turnaround of regulars & I wouldn't hesitate in coming back.

We recently stayed overnight at The Almar and would 100% recommend this B & B to anyone. Our hosts John and Julie were really lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Our room (no.2) was very clean and comfortable and had everything we could possibly need - tea/coffee/bottled water etc, great selection of biscuits - ironing facilities, hair drier. And very important to us ladies, dressing mirror and plug points all in correct places! Bed very comfortable resulting in a great night’s sleep. The breakfast was expertly cooked by John and we were waited on by a smiling Julie! We would definitely go back again.

Very comfortable B and B with excellent breakfasts included in the price. Also a very friendly, and very well stocked bar. The prices in the bar are so good they'll be giving Wetherspoons something to think about! Julie and John are the nicest hosts I've ever encountered. ❤️

We recently stayed at the Almar b&b in Scarborough where we were treated like royalty by John and Julie who couldn’t do enough for us. Our room was spotless and had everything and more we would need. The full English breakfast was excellent and filled us for the day. We really enjoyed our stay and we could relax in the bar after our day in town where the drinks were reasonably priced and such a vast selection . Thanks again to John and Julie for our fantastic break.

The Almar is a shining example of how a seaside B&B should be! John & Julie are friendly, welcoming and convivial hosts nothing is to much trouble they go out of their way to ensure your stay is a pleasant experience. We had a small double which was more than adequate for our weekend stay the room was well appointed and spotlessly clean as was the rest of the establishment. Breakfast is outstanding the choice is endless and we really enjoyed it. There is a bar which has a great selection of drinks and prices are very reasonable it was nice to have a drink in the evening and meet and chat to new people. Overall a fantastic experience and would highly recommend a stay at The Almar I'm sure like us you'll love with a smile on your face and happy memories.
