The hotel is in a great location, lovely building and nice communal areas, but our room was disappointing. The mattress was terrible and should have been replaced a long time ago, the room and bathroom were outdated but passable, however there was the hole in the bathroom floor next to the sink where the floorboards had collapsed and the area sunk in when stepped on, looked like it had been there a while and is totally unacceptable and a major trip hazard. The floor was also quite grubby.
Beautiful hotel in a central location close to the town centre. The whole place was really warm & staff very welcoming. Room was huge, warm, comfortable bed & really powerful shower. Will definitely book again.
What an amazing place to stay, steeped in history and some of the most lovely architecture in the rooms. The Reception, bar lounge and bedrooms are all lavishly furnished and the friendlyness of the staff was to be hold. Ive tried several other hotels in Scarborough but this Hotel beets the lot. Ill be booking here again very soon.
I was looking for a dog friendly hotel in Scarborough and came across this one. We stayed in a suite which was although a bit tired still very comfortable. Very quiet location and a small park to take the dog just across the road. Well priced but they don't do food but you right next to the town so there's plenty of places to choose from.
Had a fantastic two night stay here. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms, reception, bar and lounge areas were spotlessly clean. It was in a great place for centre of Scarborough. Will go back again and highly recommend.
