Very nice room. There was a problem with our toilet so we were moved to a new room straight away. Would recommend anyone in a sea view room to close the curtains when they go out to keep the heat down as it can get stifling. There was no breakfast being served while we were there which is a shame because the dining room looked nice. It would have been nice to have a little fridge in the room especially since there was no breakfast available. The outside is obviously not as renovated as the interior but I'm sure it will look good when done. The stairs are quite narrow which makes it difficult to get up and down with luggage. Would not recommend for those less mobile. Good central location to the front and shops, but a good 10 min walk to the dog friendly beach area and the same to a green space for dogs to do their business.
Very disappointing. The hotel had scaffolding all around it and appeared dirty and grubby from the outside. It looked derelict. Arrived to find we couldn't get in. Had to phone a number on the window, and a lady came with a key saying, "Just leave the key on the table when you check out." The room was a family room , tatty, and the bathroom had a shower with either scolding water or freezing , no in between. Didn't see a single member of staff while we were there. Also, no breakfast and no one entered our room to top up the tea and coffee facilities. Although Scarborough is a great place and will definitely visit again. But this 'boarding house', coz its definitely not a hotel , won't be one to come back to. Shame as it's in a great location.
Very friendly staff, explained everything nicely, beds are very comfortable. sea view room is perfect for peace of mind 😌 only things 😢😢😢PARKING NOT AVAILABLE 🤔🤔 AS THEY MENTIONED PARKING ON SITE BUT ACTUALLY NO PARKING AVAILABLE. YOU NEED TO PARK ON STREET WHICH IS NOT SAFE . AS ALL NIGHT LIFE ON THE ROAD No blind or curtain in bathroom window. kettle need to be renewed as old one is very dirty inside.
Loved staying at this little gem of a place. Before arriving, staff helped us with where to park. We were greeted by Amy and she was really nice. Our room was room 3 with a sea view and it was beautiful. Comfortable bed and sofa. Good shower. Balcony with beautiful sea views. Would definitely recommend and return.
Beautiful room in a beautiful location. Clean and tidy and the staff were lovely. Breakfast refunded the first day because they had no cook. An hours wait the second day to get one undercooked veggie sausage, one overcooked egg, a small handful of tinned mushrooms and one hash brown. Toast was brought 20 mins before the food so was stone cold by the time it came. We were brought replacement toast but it wasn't actually toasted. Absolutely not worth £10 and I cannot fathom why it took so long. Beautiful vine tomatoes though.
