The Rockside! Located on a cliff top, overlooking Scarborough’s award-winning North Bay Beach, the family-run The Rockside offers free Wi-Fi and magnificent sea views. It is just 3 minutes’ walk from Scarborough Castle. The rooms boast a flat-screen LCD TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The modern en suite shower rooms have a hairdryer. Many feature fantastic sea views. Ironing supplies are available upon request. In the mornings, The Rockside serves full English breakfast in the dining room, along with cereals, yogurt, and fruit. Breakfast is prepared using locally sourced produce. In the evenings, drinks are available from the bar in the guest lounge, which features views of the sea. Scarborough’s shops and restaurants are within 10 minutes’ walk of Rockside. The hotel is just a 10-minute walk from both the sandy South Bay Beach and the North Bay Promenade. Parking permits for the streets directly outside the hotel are provided upon arrival. Scarborough Railway Station is 15 minutes’ walk away. This is our guests' favorite part of Scarborough, according to independent reviews. Couples in particular like the location – they rated it 9.1 for a two-person trip. My wife and I visited Scarborough for the first time on the bank holiday weekend and stayed here. Met by Sarah. Great host, genuinely a lovely person wanting to help you get the most from your stay whether it was from the hotel or the town itself. She worked tirelessly the whole time. What commitment! Our room was clean newly refurbished and comfortable. A little small which we could have asked or booked bigger- our fault, but totally functional for the couple of days we had here. Special thank you to Harry who helped deliver a wonderful breakfast each morning. I would recommend you have breakfast here if you stay. You couldn't get better produce and value elsewhere - guaranteed! Finally a big thank you to Sarah and her husband (who we sadly didn't get to see) both work tirelessly to make it a genuine and lovely experience for their visitors. Nice to meet people who care about doing that for other! Location and sea view were both fabulous. Hope to visit again.....
We've had a lovely relaxing stay at Rockside. Very clean, fresh and comfortable. The owners take great care of their guests, building and accommodation.
Absolutely blown away with is family run business, The Rockside location has fantastic views across the bay, the rooms are immaculately clean, well presented, and comfortable. The rockside is friendly to all and you feel at home straight away, welcomed by Darrell & Sarah. Throughly enjoyed the cooked breakfast and the honesty bar was a pleasent surprise, I would definitely recommend this lovely bed and breakfast, needless to say we will return to enjoy it once more. Me and my fiance gray stayed at the rockside from the 2nd of June till the 7th of June haven't been been to Scarborough before so didn't know what to expect but I can say this Sara and daryl gave us the the greatest welcome professional is the word and much appreciated totally showed every thing to under stand parking payment professional at its extreme room sea view immaculate really nice we haven't had a holiday for quite some time they made it they are so professional and I admire that we really enjoyed our stay there the honesty bar and there trust and kindness we had a great time we really did highly recommended this hotel should be 5 star exerlearnt at its best the breakfast was fantastic 5 stars on that to thanks once again Sara and daryl xxx
