Fortunate to celebrate morning mass during my visit to Scarborough, beautiful church with loads of history. Could feel the vibe and positive spirit. Met a few parishioners who were very welcoming. Must visit if you are in town. God bless

We visited for mass this weekend, came away feeling uplifted. Very friendly community, helpful. It was the first Holy communion mass, amazing. The priest was wonderful with the children, we very much enjoyed the mass.

Of architectural interest among Scarborough churches, the RC Church of St Peter was built in 1858 to designs by York-born architect Geo. Goldie (1828-87). It has a windowless polygonal apse that was described by architectural historian Charles Eastlake as the first church to have this feature.
