I have to say I had full at Gillys Amusements. The place is very well presented, spacious, clean & tidy. We only nipped in for a pop on the 2 pence shoves, and found an upstairs level with 6 pool tables, bowling & more video games. We had a game of pool (I won, hell yeah) and called it a day. It's the type of amusement arcade every seaside town should have, thoroughly recommended.
Our favourite arcade in Scarborough, been going here since I was a kid and now my take my grandkids , the only disappointment is you have removed your hot drinks machine! Please can we have it back 😂.
Used to quite like this arcade and the Coney Island one they also own, but it's not great any more I play the £500 slots and they have a game called Black Knight COMMUNITY, although I'd warn anyone not to play it as it isn't community linked despite their advertising that it is. Meaning that if 2 of you play you both have no chance of going up to the community game together. I spoke to the staff but most of them that work the floor have no clue about fruit machines and walk round with miserable faces, The 3 player mushroom community game also failed to be community linked... Feels like a scam to me to and laziness on behalf of the miserable technicians who also mope around like it's their last day on earth! Don't expect to be offered a drink like silver dollar do, they keep the cups so you can't get one and staff never offer one! I generally spend a couple hundred each visit with my other half and sister in law (so they generally make £500 off us every other week) but wont be going any more, if you want a proper arcade and not a scummy sea front one then try Admiral in the town near Greggs, it's clean, fresh, all machines work as intended, and has drinks and snacks galore on offer to players from smily staff!
Absolutely loved it here, only spent around half hour trying to win my 21 year old daughter a teddy, but off course I didn't which is all part of the fun!! This place took me back to my younger days, brilliant
Bad place, like any other arcade designed to scam you.when we played a game it didn’t work so a kind man gave us a prize anyway(so kind) My views on this place all changed when we went upstairs to look around and my son needed the loo so we ask if they have toilets. The man upstairs said yes but it would cost 20p so we exchanged a pound for 20p’s.My son put in 20p in but the barrier wouldn’t turn so he put another one in and it still didn’t turn so he went to get the man. He opened it but would not give his extra 20p (that didn’t work) and said “I can’t do that, you should have got me the first time” bearing in mind he is 10 they tried to rip a 10 year old off of 20p.They make 20p of their scam games and still want more! What a disgrace Don’t go here go to the one just back in the big building and don’t recommend to friends and family they will just take your money! We will not be returning
