Super Swim Academy

My daughter attends Super Swim Academy for one to one sessions. We have tried a number of providers previously without much success, this included some risky behaviour due to her autism and suspected ADHD. I found Super Swim Academy after moving to the area 3 years ago, I didn’t expect much due to my daughters behaviour and mostly just wanted her to be able to float if anything ever happened (I can’t swim and water is a massive fear of mine). My daughter sees Lindsey, they have an amazing relationship within her swimming lessons despite Nevaehs avoidant behaviour towards demands Lindsey is able to work around this getting Nevaeh to complete tasks in a fun and non demanding way. I never expected to see my daughter place her head under the water, but not only has Lindsey managed to get my daughter to do this, my daughter is swimming!! My daughter loves earning her badges and loves the positive feedback and encouragement Lindsey provides. My daughter has gone from hating water anywhere near her, to loving water, and swimming. I truly cannot thank Lindsey and Super Swin Academy enough for the skills they have provided my daughter with and the compassion shown to her when she has shown her emotional dysregulation when experiencing some of the harder tasks. For anyone thinking of using Super Swim Academy I highly recommend you give them a call or message. From a parent who’s tried out multiple providers of both group and one to one lessons I’m so glad I found Lindsey. *side note* I wish I’d have had videos from the meltdowns from when my daughter first started so I could truly show you the difference made.

I booked Lindsey for a 1 hour lesson to increase my confidence and technique of front crawl ahead of my training for a triathlon. The way Lindsey broke the technique down for me and built it back up was amazing! From having a one hour lesson I was able to understand the correct stroke and breathing combination to swim effectively and have gone from a slow lane breast stroker to comfortably swimming front crawl with correct technique for 60 minutes. I have been having one to one swimming lessons with Lindsey (Super Swim Academy) since mid-September 2023. I am 52 years old and have had a fear of water for most of my life. I met Lindsey as part of a separate activity during the summer and I felt the time was right to learn to swim. Lindsey is a highly experienced and knowledgeable swimming teacher. She initially taught me to overcome my fear of water (I thought I would never be able to achieve this). She focuses on different elements of technique and water confidence during each lesson so it always challenging and fun (and I am making progress). Lindsey is an excellent communicator and is able to put her put points across in a very effective way; she in incredibly patient and reassuring and remembers fine details from each week which ensures the key points are reinforced and reviewed on a weekly basis. I would recommend (in the strongest possible terms) Lindsey to anyone who wants their children (or themselves) to learn to swim. Lindsey also taught my children to swim (albeit 10 plus years ago) and she is highly respected across the area because of her passion for the sport.

My son is Autistic with PDA and dyspraxia, before starting lessons with Lindsey we couldn't wash his hair, let go of him in a swimming pool, or get him to try any sporty activities. Having PDA means he really struggles with demands, being Autistic means huge sensory issues and following instructions is tricky and dyspraxia comes with mainly physical challenges to his gross and fine motor skills. Starting lessons with Lindsey over a year ago has been life changing for him, he can now put his head fully under water even blowing bubbles from his nose, he is working through various swim techniques and making really good progress, but most importantly to us he loves his time with lindsey he sees her as family, she is so patient and nurturing, she goes at his pace and pushes him without him even realising its a demand. Nobody else could have made the progress with him like she has, we never thought we would see the day he was swimming especially underwater!! If we could give 10 stars we would. Thank you Linsdey.

Booked a session for my 9 year old daughter in the endless pool. Fantastic facility to improve her technique, great coaching, would recommend booking.
