Great parking, lots of spaces, very clean, shady spots. Good, regular bus services that will take you to the centre of Scarborough. There is a shelter in case it rains or windy spells, clean toilets.
Great spot for a park and ride. Why drive into Scarborough and park, when you have such a great service as this. Plenty of space. Clean and tidy toilet and rest area facilities. £3.10p return. No brainer
Had a day out in Scarborough yesterday and was heading for a car park in the town when we noticed the signage for the park and ride, decided to take a slight detour and park here for the day. Big, clean car park, plenty of spaces when we arrived just after 10.30am and there was a bus waiting to leave. £5.50 for two and and that includes the parking fee for the day. The bus ride into town was pretty quick and we alighted on Valley Road and had a nice steady stroll into town. When the day was over we returned to Valley Road, waited for about 10 minutes and then hopped back on the bus. It does a loop around the town at a couple of other stops and then heads back to the park and ride. (Buses run every 20 minutes both ways). Got back and into the car, still lots of spaces and then we were on the way home. Definitely better than queuing around the car parks in town.
Great P&R with with toilet facilities and regular buses. The one massive flaw is there are no EV chargers. Absolutely infuriating after driving to Scarborough having the car sat all day unable to charge and having to wait to charge it at the local Lidl before driving home. Clearly something everyone has to do as the queue for the 1 charger was massive. There are very few fast charging stations in Scarborough, if any which is absolutely prehistoric in today's times. Scarborough council or the bus company, whoever is responsible need to seriously invest in some charging infrastructure if they want to keep tourists coming back to Scarborough.
Used this service twice, 2 days in a row. Plenty of spaces for parking and really reasonable prices for the bus. 2 adults was £5.50 return. The most we waited for a bus was 5 minutes and we were even able to bring our small dog with us. Would recommend to avoid the stress of parking at Scarborough.
