The Oaks Lakes Caravan Park

Good site if you like to fish. Great breakfast at cafe Lovely and peaceful but felt closed in with 8ft hedges and no view. It would be lovely if it was cut giving a view over the fields.

Lovely site 👌🏻 lovely staff Very well kept lots of lovely views in walking distance . Ideal Base for days out & also fishing We stay regular as its so quiet & love the location . We look forward to re booking after the winter .

The site is quiet and tidy. No children on this site so not good for families, but great for fishing. The toilet block is modern and the toilet room was clean. However, there are only two female toilets and the first morning there was no loo role left. We were in a tent so this was a problem for me. We didn't use the showers because they were a bit grim, maybe they they will be next to be upgraded.

Lovely site and reasonably quiet. However we were woke up early on Sunday from a motor running somewhere on the lake sounded like a lawn mower or pump. The facilities on site are simple, the showers are quite compact and include a communal change area if you need space. However the pitch sizes were very generous and given the bad winter they were well drained. We never saw any staff on site when we arrived or whole time on site, not ever sure if any one cleaned toilets and showers. The location great if you are into fishing, walking or cycling. We needed to get to Thirsk to meet friends and found no buses were running at weekend we also found Taxi service was busy so book in advance if you need one.

Just came back from a weekend camping and first experience of fishing. Perfect location, lots of choice of lakes. The campsite has everything you need for your stay. The onsite cafe is a massive bonus, great value and tasty food. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Will definitely be returning. 😊🎣🏕
