Great library, with large range of subject specific books and such fantastically friendly and helpful staff. Lots of collaborative space as well as quiet areas. And plenty of bookable PCs.

I went to donate off some decent quality books on a niche topic from a past dissertation. I was then given a seemingly frustrated, unapologetic, unthankful answer that they don’t accept donations. What kind of a library doesn’t accept donations, especially one of a reputable institution, and one that seemingly does not have any manners/decent customer service to even be polite? Unless you are studying at SHU, there is no need to give/bother them with anything seemingly.

Lovely place to go and study. Facilities include silent study spaces, quiet study spaces, group spaces (not currently available due to COVID-19), spaces for use with a laptop, printing facilities, a cafe etc. Staff are always approachable and COVID-19 protocols are in place. The wildlife on campus is always a bonus too. Have spotted a badger before during my late night study sessions.

Its a very good library so far. The staff were nice and approachable and following all covid 19 provisions very well. There is facilities to wipe down you work station before and after use as well as hand sanitiser freely available. Glad to be able to use the library even whilst online learning.

The computers don't work. I don't mean they're slow, or they take a while to get going, I mean they don't work. About 60% of them don't even turn on and those that do can't manage to run appsanywhere or even connect to the internet. Don't bother going to this library to use the onsite computers because you'll be wasting your time waiting for things to load that never actually load
