One of the biggest mosques in Sheffield. Clean, well-maintained and it has lots of facilities including prayer hall for men and women, multi-purpose hall, classrooms, kitchen, and even gym. The staff are really nice, welcoming and helpful
Mashallah what a beautiful mosque very modern design throughout with lots of amenities. Very clean Gym Restaurant Dawah room School Female area Air conditioning
Visited for salah recently. I was surprised at the lack of respect shown for the sanctity of the masjid from the locals. People casually sat or stood around talking like they’re in a coffee shop or bumped into each other at a mall whilst others were praying. Teenagers & kids playing around and chatting. In my local masjid the attendees are expected to respect the sanctity of the masjid and the children are taught this too. Nothing like what I witnessed here. Other than that, it is nicely designed & well built masjid.
The mosque is well-constructed and offers a generally good environment. However, the number of shoe racks is insufficient for the size of the congregation, which often leads to health and safety concerns. Parking is also an issue, as some attendees park inappropriately or block the road, creating unnecessary risks. It is important for visitors to park responsibly rather than choosing unsafe locations for the sake of convenience. Additionally, the Friday (Jummah) sermon is frequently off-topic, and the imam’s delivery could be improved to better engage the congregation.
Visiting the Sheffield Grand Mosque was a truly heartening experience. As Malaysians far from home, we were immediately embraced by the incredibly friendly and welcoming community. It felt like we had found a home away from home. The atmosphere was one of genuine warmth and inclusivity, making us feel instantly comfortable. A special and heartfelt thank you goes to Khaliq; his generosity was truly remarkable. He went above and beyond, providing us with a plentiful and delicious iftar, a gesture that touched us deeply. The food was not only abundant but also prepared with care and love, making the breaking of our fast even more meaningful. The entire experience at the Sheffield Grand Mosque was a testament to the power of community and hospitality, and we will cherish the memories we made there.
