Children 1st Sheffield Nursery School

We couldn't be happier with Children 1st. Our daughter has attended since January and was very shy and cautious but all the key workers and managers made such an effort to help her settle in and gain confidence and also reassured us. It is lovely how genuinely caring all the workers are with the children. It really shows that they build meaningful connections and they love the work they do. It is not only our daughter's key worker who knows her name and what she likes, but every single adult in the building from the managers, to the workers in her room, the receptionist, the trainees. This is really impressive. Our daughter has suffered from a few periods of sickness absence and every day most of the workers take the time to send a message to wish her well. It's these little signs of care that matter. We have also been very impressed with the focus on structured development and learning. The team share learning goals and are very receptive to parental feedback. Exceptional nursery. I looked around a lot of nurseries in Sheffield, Dronfield and Chesterfield and this one was a mile apart from all those I looked at. I just hope they will have space for our second child!

Excellent nursery. My daughter has been coming since months old and her development is outstanding. I love the diversity of the nursery and how they celebrate cultural differences which reflects on the wider world. The staff listen to you in regards to your childrens needs and do everything in their power to support in any which way they can. I would recommend anyone who is looking for a day care/nursery to bring their child here, absolutely.

So happy with this nursery! We moved to the UK from Belgium and were not aware of how things work around here. I had an appointment at Children’s First Nurseries for an intake and look around the nursery for our toddler, at least I thought I had. Apparently, we filled in the intake form incorrectly and therefore the nursery had taken in consideration that my child was still a baby. Upon arrival, even though we made a mistake, they were super flexible and friendly. They did their best to secure a spot for our daughter and she has been going there a couple of weeks now (and she totally loves it!!). The staff is well educated and they made us all feel welcome from day 1. I love that it is such a diverse nursery, the activities with the children are good and my daughter loves it. If you are looking for a good nursery that has everything, don’t hesitate and contact this one!

My daughter has attended this nursery since she turned 1 and is devoloping at a rapid rate. I additionally love the diversity and the small sized classrooms. The nursery is inclusive of all cultures and difference. My daughter could not be happier with the attentive staff. I would highly recommend this nursery to if you want to feel that your children are in good hands.

We were originally with the Chesterfield branch (and were very sad we had to leave!) and needed to move to somewhere closer, the transition was seamless and my little one settled in very quickly. Have no regrets whatsoever, every single staff has been so lovely and my little one lovessss going to nursery, she quickly learned all the staff members names🥰 I particularly appreciate how diverse it is at this nursery, from staff to children/families from various backgrounds.
