A friend of mine and I were out having a few beers in Sheffield and the Riverside Kelham was on his 'to-do' list. We had a very pleasant visit, beer excellent, food ditto, we ordered between us roast belly pork and stuffing sandwich, Nduja sausage rolls (it came as one big one, I didn't have a problem with that) and frickles, everything was demolished, everything was top notch. Beer consumed was Thornbridge Market Porter and Dr Morton's Mandarin Claw, both perfect. The decor is interesting and amusing. Henderson's Relish readily available (always the sign of a quality establishment in my view and the Nduja sausage roll was made even better by its application). Service friendly and welcoming. Dogs are welcome. Loads of room outside by the River Don if the weather is agreeable. Toilets clean and fit for purpose (we only used the gents as we are a bit old fashioned in identifying as 'Gentlemen'). In summary great visit, great food. great beer, will we visit again? Definite yes, well worth 5 stars on the day
Came here yesterday for some food for my birthday. Never eaten here before but had some drinks before. The staff are always friendly and the seats next to the river are a really nice place to sit. The food came in about 10mins and was amazing. It was more than I was expecting, the portions were massive and the price wasn’t bad. With a student pledge card I got £8.50 off the food bill too! (:
Called in mid week, just as the menu was changing, so naturally some items were not available. But what they did have was cracking value for money, thier burger is massive, and the one I had, was just the regular burger. Great range of cask beers. Well worth a visit
Nice boozer in one of the more trendy parts of Sheffield. Good selection of beers, including some locally produced Kelham Brewery beers. Typical pub grub is available (burgers, chicken etc) but didn't try any.
Great atmosphere till it gets busy, then it's a bit too crowded for the space available due to it's popularity. Had the pie and chips. Honestly would like to just order the chips. Massive and very Yorkshire.
