We just had the most lovely experience here. We’re in Sheffield for the day and we’re so pleased we chose this place to eat! The atmosphere/‘vibes’ are lush with interesting decor that you could spend 10 minutes looking at. They opened the whole place up 30 minutes early for us so we could catch our show after a mix up on our booking at a restaurant in a different location. When we arrived the chef who served us before the waitress arrived was so friendly and it was interesting to hear a bit of her families history. They send money home to support farmers in their home region of India. As a vegetarian (pretty much vegan) I had so much choice and the dishes were unusual. The milky tea was absolute delicious (see photo) and made with vegan milk. I felt they went above and beyond for us and it made our experience in Sheffield a positive one. Thank you so much!

The service was a little slow but it looked like it was just one cook and one server so that likely slowed things down. The server was polite and helpful. The food was a bit pricier than we expected but SO GOOD! Spiced and flavourful. I cant have gluten or dairy and the majority of the menu as standard is gluten and dairy free so that was a nice find. Its more smaller plates so if youre having curry make sure to order 2-3 curries plus rice and sides between 2 people. The vegan Lassi was actually to die for. Thick and not too sweet. Please treat yourself and go visit.

So impressed with this restaurant! That's some of the best Indian food I've ever eaten. So authentic and you can tell it's cooked with fresh, quality ingredients. Lovely people and a good vibe. I'm not from Sheffield, but will be moving there soon. This will definitely be my go-to.

The hospitality and prompt service made it a truly wonderful experience. Wrapped up the dinner with a stunning cutting chai. A truly 5star experience at 5tara in Sheffield.

Just wow!!! What an amazing place. The food is as authentic as it promises and the service from the staff is high class. They are knowledgeable and able to provide recommendations. If you are in Sheffield and choose not to visit then you have missed out on a real gem. Pre book as this place gets busy for obvious reasons
