Food: Was spot on. I think a lot of Italian food in the UK is over seasoned, too rich, too processed, too much sauce. This is much more like what you'd get in Italy. Subtle and lets the ingredients do the talking. Great portions, and great value. Not sure what the people on here who have moaned about either of these points are on about. Have one of their negronis - you won't regret it. Vibes were great. Only slight misstep was the service for me. Yes it was on the chill side. Which was fine. But was a little *too* chill. Main case in point. No one came between starter and mains to see if we wanted drinks. Id have bought a bottle of red to go with my lamb. But by the time it's in front of me is a bit late. Good job we had some table water. Took a long time to be asked for deserts and get the bill. It was busy and the front of house staff did apologise for a lack of attention. But still. Lost out on a bit of extra cash that night! Would definitely go back though 🙂
Delicious and fresh food as always. Lovely atmosphere and great knowledge and recommendations about the food from staff. Would highly recommend. Good to chat to the chef too 👩🏼🍳 Had dessert too,but forgot to take a picture. Very tasty to say the least.
Lovely family run place. Played back and casual dining with freshly made pasta. It’s my pasta obsessed 3 and a half year olds favourite place to eat. Book by ringing their number to avoid disappointment as there’s no online booking.
We attended one of the pasta making classes today at Butta la Pasta and had an amazing time. We were taught how to make several different type of pasta from scratch, some egg based and some semolina based. Then the chef made a delicious sauce and we got to eat it with some of our homemade pasta! Lots of great touches like drinks, amaretto biscuits, semolina flour and tote bags to take away - as well as several meals worth of fresh pasta for us to eat at home. Would really recommend the experience and, having eaten some great pasta dishes at the restaurant before, it's reminded us that we need to get booked in again! Thank you.
Really nice restaurant, chef came out to talk through the menu. Clearly very passionate about their food! There was a big party in there as well so I think the waiters had their hands full but overall 10/10 would very much recommend and will definitely come back!
