Some of the best Japanese food I've ever had! Awesome little place, slightly out of the way but well worth the trip. Staff are fabulous. We sat at the counter and chatted to the chefs about their food, which was a great way to spend an evening! Highly recommend!
Exceptional in every way. My first experience of Japanese cuisine and it was fantastic. Delicious food and the most friendly helpful staff member, he greeted us with care and paid attention to every detail during the evening. Watching the chefs prepare the dishes made the experience extra special and the chef nearest to our seats at the servery chatted and told us to ask any questions we might have about the food and drinks that can be paired. Without question the best eating experience I have had in Sheffield. Cannot fault Roku. Just book it!
My partner and I had an amazing experience. Really delicious sushi and hot dishes and excellent quality ingredients, my partner said it's the best Japanese food he's had outside of Japan! The staff were really friendly and we had a lovely chat with the chef. Can't wait to come back ❤️🍣
I was quite excited to visit Roku, albeit it wasn't exactly up to my expectations. Sushi is good, you can tell there is effort made in sourcing quality fish and ingredients, and majority of them tasted good. Menu is concise in the best way possible and the specials are unique and interesting. Like other reviews state service is really rushed, I appreciate that there are bookings ahead or it may be busy after our slot but this was well before the end of our dining slot. Service is polite otherwise and was helpful with any queries. It's good sushi for sheffield, but for me nothing to write home about. I wonder if their hot dishes are the ones that shine but unfortunately I did not try when I visited.
Amazing food that really hit the umami, freshly prepared with amazing taste. The service was fast and we got a table even without reservation but it did get busy later. The chef came to explain how certain food should be eaten and that was a big plus. Probably the best sushi I have had in my life
