We went to the cabin last weekend and it was a good experience. The place was crowded so I would recommend booking prior. The place had a really cozy vibe with people of all ages enjoying a good time together. We had 1. banana bread pancakes (vegan) and they were okay. It had chocolate chips and came with a small jar of maple syrup, which was necessary because the pancake was too big and dry, so I would recommend ordering sides like whipped cream for relief. 2. Fried chicken waffles were good, but we unfortunately got slightly overcooked pieces of chicken. But the flavor was really amazing, and with slaw and mayo sauce drizzled on top, it was a great combo so, definitely recommended. 3. Breakfast burrito was good too, but I don't think thats a usual order for someone coming to the cabin. 4. Coffee, must try!!! Overall, the portion size was too generous in my opinion (which some ppl might like), meaning unbalanced plates and dry mouthfuls, so order sides even if you don't want them. But food is pretty good in general and the ambience makes up for the hype.
Absolutely amazing place, the food was amazing and very generous portion sizes, we went for my Mum's birthday, and we booked for a large group and pre-ordered our food. The staff were very friendly and helpful, as we'd booked the upstairs, there were sofa's or tables to sit at making it very comfy. if you can't finish your food there's takeaway boxes to take your left overs home. we would definitely visit here again, if you like Pancakes, waffles, or anything Biscoff I would 100% recommend this place
My favourite place to come for pancakes. Plenty of parking near by & easy to book your table. The staff are so friendly & the food is delicious. I’ve been a few times and can’t reccomend this place enough. This time I messaged them as it was my first breakfast out with my husband and the staff decorated the table for us. They will always go above & beyond for you and what you’re after. Thank you so much xx
I popped in with my daughter without booking and was impressed!! the welcome was so cheerful, the food was seriously DELICIOUS, coffee was fab and all the staff were so obliging and seemed so happy in their work- it was busy but the service was quick and the food hot tasty and seriously delicious! (French toast with Banana, Bacon and maple syrup, and a breakfast sausage burrito 2 drinks , great value at around £26) This local independent cafe is doing a great job , they have got the vibe just right . I will be back !
We had a great experience at The Cabin. The service was incredibly efficient and the food was tasty and well-priced for the portion sizes. It wasn't quite a 5-star experience, but I’d certainly return. I ordered the chicken waffles with extra bacon. It was delicious and the portion was large, perfect for me as I was ravenous, though it might be a struggle for some! My only slight gripe was that they could have been a bit more generous with the sauce; the waffle was so large that the last few mouthfuls felt a little dry. I was disappointed with the Coke Zero. Charging £2.75 for a 330ml can that you have to pour yourself feels like a bit of a rip-off when they are 80p a can at the shop. I'm sure they get them at wholesale prices too so £2.75 is a huge markup! On the plus side, the coffee was decent. My wife had a cream cheese bagel with extra chicken, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Interestingly, the bagel chicken was specified as halal, but the waffle chicken wasn't, which is worth noting for those with dietary requirements. She also had a chocolate milkshake made with Our Cow Molly ice cream. Having had OCM many times, I found the milkshake a bit underwhelming, it tasted more like Nesquik and lacked that rich, thick creaminess you’d expect for £5.25. She still finished it, so it wasn't "bad," just not quite up to the standard I expected for that price point. A tip: definitely book ahead. We had an 11:30am booking and it was busy when we arrived. Our table (No. 18) was a bit dimly lit, but that’s a minor nit-pick that didn't bother me once the food arrived! The staff were friendly and the speed was impressive. Drinks arrived within 5 minutes and food just 5 minutes later. Total bill was £35.60, which is very reasonable in today’s market for a tasty, filling meal for two. Recommended!
